A Jammu and Kashmir policeman has set huge precedence by restricting himself to ‘quarantine’ while his daughter married-off in the Balakote area of Mendhar district.
As per reports, the Hawaldar (name withheld) from Nakamanjhari area of the frontier district was put to quarantine alongside his brother after their arrival from Srinagar, three days back.
“As a precautionary measure both of them were subjected to go quarantine for next two weeks,” the official said.
Meanwhile, the policeman while talking to GNS said: “though it was difficult for me to manage my emotions, I know it has to be like that only. Someone may call it a sacrifice but it is a must for the safety of all loved ones.”
Urging all people to restrain movement amid the onslaught of Coronavirus pandemic, the policeman remarked that while the virus is taking a serious toll irrespective of any age, gender and religion, “we should co-operate with the authorities to contain its further spread”. (GNS)
