SRINAGAR: Seven more coronavirus cases were reported from Ladakh during the past 24 hours, the number of active cases has reached 64.

With this, the total active cases in Leh district have reached 23 and in Kargil district 41.

Ladakh, which reported the Covid infection in early March and became the zero-active case in mid-April, had a total of 115 confirmed cases till June 10. After the spike in infection, one of the migrants died. At least 50 patients have recovered.

As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services, UT Ladakh all seven positive cases were reported from Leh district. The condition of all 64 active cases in Ladakh is stable.

Meanwhile, the District Magistrate, Leh, Sachin Kumar, on June 9 has added the Officer Mess of the ITBF in Leh town to the existing containment zones.

It is also learnt that all seven new cases reported on Wednesday are close contacts and family member of the first case, which was reported on Tuesday.
