As the number of positive cases across J&K rose to 94, Principal Government College Srinagar Dr Samia Rashid on Sunday appealed people to maintain social distancing and take all the precautionary measures.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Dr Samia Rashid wrote: “Gentle reminder to all that the threat of the virus is still far from over. It looms over our head even though it may not always seem so. Please continue maintaining social distance, wash your hands, and practice cough etiquette. Do not lower your guard.”

“Doctors and paramedical staff are out in the field fighting for you. Please stay at home for us,” Dr Saima Rashid tweeted.

As of now, J&K has reported 94 cases, of which two persons have died while two have recovered. As many as 73 cases have been reported in the Kashmir division while 21 cases were reported from Jammu.
