With the two additional patients, the overall tally of Covid-19 positive cases in the desert region have gone up to 49 including 35 in Leh and 14 in Kargil. So far, officials said 43 of them have recovered.

Now the region that reported the prevalence of the disease first in erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir state, has only six active cases including five in Kargil and one in Leh.

It is interesting to mention here that Ladakh tops the list of states and UTs in India that have done Covid-19 tests on a large scale.
