The UT administration in Kargil on Monday said they have two more patients who have tested positive for Covid19.

“Today’s Update 2 new cases from Sankoo (Kargil-Ladakh). Total cases now 3,” Deputy Commissioner, Kargil Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary tweeted.

With the two additional patients, the overall tally of Covid-19 positive cases in the desert region have gone up to 22. So far, officials said 16 of them have recovered.  Now the region that reported the prevalence of the disease first in erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir state, has only six active cases.

It is interesting to mention here that Ladakh tops the list of states and UTs in India that have done Covid-19 tests on a large scale.
