SRINAGAR: With 13 more cases detected positive, the overall morbidity of the Coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 270. This is the for the third consecutive day that Srinagar reported no new case.

Jammu and Kashmir spokesman Rohit Kansal said 25 fresh cases were reported from Kashmir on Monday.

Kashmir Life had earlier reported 12 cases including 9 from Bandipore and three from Baramulla. Reports, confirmed by officials to local news gatherer GNS said the 12 others are non-locals residing in Kashmir. The non-locals belonged to the states of Delhi, Gujarat and Kerela. The other tested positive belongs to Kulgam district.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Shahid Iqbal Choudhary told GNS that all the non-locals tested positive have been put under immediate quarantine. He said they were preachers.
The children from Natipora had come in contact with their grandfather who had arrived from Saudi Arabia after performing Umrah and tested positive for Covid-19.
