After the successful conduct of five phases of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the process of counting has begun Wednesday morning.

The process will decide the fate of 821 candidates including 276 independent candidates. According to officials, there are around 20000 voting machines.

The district election officers told Kashmir Life that there are adequate security measures put in place to thwart any untoward incident and security agencies claim to have chalked down a plan to manage the ‘victory marches’.

Pertinently the exit polls suggested that PDP will emerge single largest party followed by BJP.
