SRINAGAR: At least 37 paramilitary forces personnel were among 132 persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus at SKIMS laboratory on Friday.

Dr Ghulam Hassan Yatoo Deputy Medical Superintendent SKIMS told Kashmir Life that 132 persons have been tested positive for COVID19 at the SKIMS laboratory.

“Of the 132 new cases, 37 are from Army/CRPF / SSB, 33 from Pulwama, 24 from Srinagar, 12 from Anantnag, 10 from Kulgam, 7 from Budgam, 6 from Bandipora, 2 from Kupwara and 1 from Baramulla,” he said. “We are in the process of getting the details of the individuals.

He said 2659 samples had been tested at the lab in 24 hours out of which 2527 were negative.

As of now, Jammu and Kashmir have 9633 positive cases, out of which 3784 are Active Positive, 5695 have recovered and 158 have died; 14 in Jammu division and 144 in Kashmir division.
