SRINAGAR: At least 40 CRPF personnel were among 85 persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus at SKIMS laboratory on Friday.

Dr Ghulam Hassan Yatoo Deputy Medical Superintendent SKIMS told Kashmir Life that 85 persons have been tested positive for COVID19 at the SKIMS laboratory.

“Of the 85 new cases, 40 are from CRPF Battalions, 14 from Pulwama,13 from Shopian, 6 from Srinagar, 3 from Baramulla, 2 from Anantnag, 2 from Kulgam, 2 from Bandipora, 2 from Rajouri and one from Kupwara,” he said. “We are in the process of getting the details of the individuals.

He said 1468 samples had been tested at the lab in 24 hours out of which 1383 were negative.
