SRINAGAR: The number of Covid-19 patients in Jammu and Kashmir rose to 4796 on Saturday, after 66 more patients tested positive for the dreaded virus.

An official told Kashmir Life that 66 persons have been tested positive for COVID19 at the SKIMS laboratory.

“Of the 66 new cases, 33 are from Anantnag, 10 from Srinagar, six from  Kupwara, 6 from Baramulla, 6 from Shopian, three from Bandipora and two from Ganderbal district,” he said. “We are in the process of getting the details of the individuals.

He said 1984 samples had been tested at the lab in 24 hours when this report was filed.

He added that 1380 samples have tested positive and 75606 samples have tested negative at SKIMS till date.

As of now, J&K has reported 4796 cases, out of which 2657 are Active Positive, 2086 have recovered and 55 have died; 06 in Jammu division and 49 in Kashmir division.
