SRINAGAR: The  Government on Tuesday informed that 83 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), 38 from Jammu division and 45 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 323582. Also, one Covid death has been reported from Jammu division.

Moreover, 153 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 58 from Jammu Division and 95 from Kashmir Division.

Besides this, 99.73 percent of population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across the Jammu and Kashmir.

The Bulletin also informs that no new confirmed case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 42 in the UT of J&K.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 323582 positive cases, 1158 are Active Positive, 318025 have recovered and 4399 have died; 2159 in Jammu division and 2240 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 12659292 test results available, 12335710 samples have been tested as negative till today.

Till date 3074240 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 9375 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1158 in isolation and 402282 in home surveillance. Besides, 2657026 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 71853 positive cases (including 17 cases reported today) with 258 Active Positive, 70761 recovered (including 55 cases recovered today), 834 deaths; Baramulla has 23775 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today) with 82 Active Positive, 23411 recovered (including 03 cases recovered today), 282 deaths; Budgam reported 23034 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 73 active positive cases, 22755 recovered (including 13 cases recovered today), 206 deaths; Pulwama has 15267 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 39 Active Positive, 15034 recovered (including 04 cases recovered today) and 194 deaths; Kupwara has 14160 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today), 38 Active Positive, 13956 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today), 166 deaths;  Anantnag district has 16378 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 38 Active Positive, 16135 recovered and 205 deaths;  Bandipora has 9566 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today), with 54 Active Positive, 9412 recoveries (including 04 cases recovered today) and 100 deaths; Ganderbal has 10034 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 61 Active Positive, 9895 recoveries (including 10 cases recovered today) and 78 deaths; Kulgam has 11340 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 36 Active Positive, 11187 recoveries (including 04 cases recovered today) and 117 deaths while as Shopian has 5591 positive cases with 06 active positive cases, 5527 recoveries and 58 deaths.

Similarly, Jammu has 52924 positive cases (including 09 cases reported today) with 118 active positive cases, 51664 recoveries (including 12 cases recovered today), 1142 deaths; Udhampur has 11369 positive cases with 31 active positive cases, 11201 recoveries (including 11 cases recovered today) and 137 deaths; Rajouri has 11041 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 62 active positive, 10750 recoveries (including 07 cases recovered today) and 229 deaths; Doda has 7426 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today) with 75 Active positive, 7222 recovered (including 16 cases recovered today) and 129 deaths; Kathua has 9274 positive cases with 07 active positive cases, 9116 recovered  and 151 deaths; Samba has 7131 positive cases  with 09 active positive cases, 7002 recoveries  and 120 deaths; Kishtwar has 4714 positive cases with 42 Active Positive, 4628 recoveries (including 07 cases recovered today)  and 44 deaths;  Poonch has 6296 positive cases with 29 active positive, 6170 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today)  and 97 deaths;  Ramban has 5981 positive cases with 05 active positive cases, 5909 recoveries and 67 deaths while Reasi has 6428 positive cases with 95 active positive cases, 6290 recoveries and 43 deaths.

According to the bulletin, among the total 323582 positive cases in J&K, 23074 have been reported as travelers while 300508 as others.

The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.

The bulletin added that there are 2423 COVID dedicated beds, 2019 Isolation beds with 1996 vacant beds and 404 ICU beds where 394 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 3353 COVID dedicated beds, 3074 Isolation beds where 3046 beds are vacant and 279 ICU beds where 255 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 5776 COVID dedicated beds, 5093 Isolation beds with 5042 beds vacant and 683 ICU beds with 649 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
