SRINAGAR: The Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmed has ordered the closure of all shops and other business establishments except essential services in Dawar (Gurez) and Sumbal town for 48 hours to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.
In an order issued on Wednesday evening, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora said in view of reported COVID-19 positive cases of service providers located in Dawar Gurez and Sumbal town, all shops /service providers except chemist shops and essential supplies shall remain closed as a precautionary measure for 48-hours with effect from 16th July.
He asked Superintendent of Police, Bandipora to ensure strict implementation of restrictions in these areas and also sought cooperation from people in this regard.
