According to reports, soon the news spread in the village and people thronged his house to have a glimpse of the mother and her calves. The owner of the cow was jubilant and everyone congratulated him.
Officials said that on the directions of Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Baramulla, Dr S M Anwar Andrabi along with other veterinary officials rushed to the spot to examine them and gave them some supplements and necessary medicines.
“Tips on the management too were provided to the farmer on the spot,” they said.
Pertinently, though multiple births are common in small animals such as Rabbits, the occurrence of triplet birth in Cow is the rarest of the rare event happening once in about one lakh births (1 in 100000).
