Association of (CPW) Contingent Paid Workers of several villages of district Islamabad on Tuesday held a protest demonstration outside DC office Islamabad alleging that the government has failed to provide their wages for last 10 years.

Scores of the workers assembled and said that government is turning blind eye to their pleas against the non-payment of their wages.

They said they protested several times previously, but authorities did not wake up to their pleas.

While talking to Kashmir Life one of the protesters said, “We are protesting against state government’s failure just to wake up the authorities from deep slumber.”

The protesters threatened that they will come on roads if the government does not take any initiative to mitigate the sufferings of the employees working under CPW and will hold sit-in protests outside the concerned office daily.

The protesters requested DC Islamabad to intervene and help them get their wages.
