Masrat Aalam led Jammu Kashmir Muslim League Saturday alleged that police have been after its activists and leaders and without any provocation they are being detained at different police stations for months together without filing any cases against them.

Muslim League spokesperson Muhammad Rafiq Ganaie told CNS that during nocturnal raids in different areas of South Kashmir police picked up several leaders and lodged them at unknown places.

He identified the arrested leaders as acting Chairman of Muslim League Muhammad Yousuf Mir (Lassipora), Abdul Rashid Dar (Kolpora), Manzoor Ahmed Ganaie (Lelhar). He said that one more activist Sabzar Ahmed Dar was also arrested by police during a nocturnal raid from South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

The spokesperson said, “such tactics can’t break the resolve of these freedom loving people.”
