CRDP Program @ Pulwama College

Srinagar based think-tank, Centre for Research Policy Development (CRDP) Thursday conducted a capacity building workshop on Ethical Leadership and Personality Development with the students of South Kashmir’s Government Degree College Pulwama.

Around 50 students participated in the program which was held in the premises of the College.

“During the workshop the students were enlightened with Ethical Leadership Skills,” a CRDP statement said late this evening, “among the key sessions were Youth Entrepreneurship, Mental Blocks, and Career Counselling, Conflict Resolution and Transformation and many other Career Building sessions.”

Students appreciated the step taken by CRDP and Degree College Pulwama, who showed keen interest in participation and urged that such workshops should be conducted in future also, the statement said.

CRDP director, Dr Peer G N Suhail, and Advocate Mohammad Altaf Khan were the resource persons for the whole sessions of the day. “They encouraged the students for entrepreneurship, explained them the corners of conflict transformation and enlightened them with leadership building skills,” the statement added.

Later, Dr Suhail while explaining the motive of holding such pro-youth sessions said, “the workshop was part of CRDP’s workshop series on Youth Leadership and Personality Development (YLPD) program.” “The organization will conduct such programs in various degree colleges and Schools in Jammu and Kashmir.”

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Degree College Pulwama hailed the move and ensured the students that the college is committed for safe and secure future of the students and such workshops will be conducted in future for the betterment of youth of the state Jammu and Kashmir, the statement said.
