An army man was killed on Monday as Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked firing along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district, second such incident in the last three days, media reports claimed.

Reports said that the Pakistani army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation in Sunderbani sector early morning by firing with small arms and mortars. In the firing, an army man-whose identity is yet to be known lost his life. The deceased according to reports was deployed in Keri Battal area.

Meanwhile, a defence ministry spokesperson Lt Colonel Devender Anand told Indian Express said that Pakistani troops initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation with the firing of small arms and shelling during the wee hours. The Indian army retailed befittingly, he added.
