Shockwaves gripped Srinagar’s Lal Chowk Thursday morning, when people noticed a dead human infant in the mouth of a dog.
The infant wrapped in a newspaper was left abandoned on Bund. After a dog found it and began parading in the area, locals chased him away and rescued the dead infant.
Police said a case been registered and investigation taken up.
Meanwhile the body of an infant was buried.
