Giving an assurance that the CRPF camp at Gargan Shopian will be relocated till October 9, district administration has appealed the people of the town to maintain calm in the area.
Talking to KNS, Deputy Commissioner (D.C) Shopian Bashir Ahmad Bhat said that the cabinet order shall be followed in letter and spirit and the camp will be relocated from the area.
“We have already relocated the major portion of the CRPF from the camp and remaining will be shifted by 9th of this month,” said D.C Shopian.
He further stated that the district administration is planning to establish the office of Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) at Gagran camp. “Jammu and Kashmir police will take charge of the camp and the CRPF will, be shifted to district police line”.
