SRINAGAR: The Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Sujoy Lal Thaosen, visited Kashmir to evaluate operational readiness and uplift the morale of personnel stationed in the region, said a CRPF spokesman on Friday.

The officer inspected the Recruit Training Centre (RTC) in Srinagar, now situated in Lethpora Pulwama, and a CRPF battalion in south Kashmir. Accompanying DG Thaosen were Additional Director General (ADG) of Jammu and Kashmir Zone CRPF, Nalin Prabhat; Inspector General (IG) of Kashmir Operations Sector CRPF, Gyanendra Kumar Verma; and IG of Srinagar Sector CRPF, Ajay Yadav.

The CRPF spokesman said that the visit, which included senior officials, aimed to assess operational readiness and boost the morale of CRPF personnel in the region. It commenced at RTC, where the DG inspected the facilities and engaged in interactions with the trainees.

Subsequently, they proceeded to the 180 battalion in Tral Pulwama, where the CRPF personnel accorded DG Thaosen a guard of honor.

He also inaugurated the “Shaheed Mukesh Lal Meena Barrack,” paying tribute to the the ones who have lost their lives in the line of duty. During “Sainik Sammelan,” he praised CRPF officers and Jawans, commending their commitment to the nation’s security.
