SRINAGAR: Firing shots were heard in the main Sanat Nagar chowk Tuesday evening. The incident triggered panic in the area and the markets close immediately.
A senior police officer said they are getting the details of the incident. “W were told that a CRPF vehicle of 29 battalion was passing when it was fired upon<” the officer said. “We have not any more details.”
Another senior police officer who is involved in the information gathering said a private scorpio that was passing through was also hit by a bullet but there were no injuries, He said he has no information about anybody getting injured. “The real issue right now is where have the attackers gone,” the officer said. :We are trying to ascertain that.”
