CRPF Head Constable Injured in Accidental Firing in JK’s Rajouri

   

JAMMU: A Head Constable of the paramilitary CRPF was injured in an accidental firing incident while cleaning a weapon in Rajouri district on Sunday, officials said.

Officials said that Head Constable Manoj Kumar took an AK-47 rifle belonging to an ASI and attempted to clear the chamber without removing the magazine, causing a bullet to pierce through his right foot.

He was immediately given first aid and shifted to GMC Rajouri for further treatment, they said, adding that his condition is stable. (GNS)
