SRINAGAR: A CRPF trooper in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district reportedly took his own life by shooting himself with his service rifle on Friday.
As per reports in the media, the incident occurred near the Jawahar Tunnel in the Qazigund area, where the trooper was on duty. The motive behind the suicide remains unknown.
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) official died on the spot, and the body was subsequently taken to a hospital for a post-mortem examination.
