Srinagar: Speeding CRPF vehicle Friday evening crushed one and injured two others in Srinagar’s Brein Nishat. According to reports, the pedestrian died on the spot and other two are stated to be critical.

The CRPF deployment according to locals for the upcoming elections when they hit the maruti car. The deceased has been identified as Showkat Ahmed, a resident of Dana Pora, Brein Nishat.
As the news spread, the protests erupted in the area and the ptotesters have blocked the road raising anti-CRPF slogans and demanding justice by arresting the driver.
The protesters according to reports have set the vehicle on fire.
A senior cop confirmed to Kashmir Life about the death of one person, “you have heard it right, one person has died in the accident.”
As this report is being filed, the situation in area is tense.
