SRINAGAR: In a significant development, the CUET (UG) 2023 examination scheduled for 21 to 25 May 2023 has been cancelled in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is now actively considering the establishment of temporary examination centers in Kashmir to accommodate the candidates. The revised date for the CUET (UG) 2023 in Jammu & Kashmir is set to begin from 26 May 2023.
With a remarkable surge in the number of registered candidates compared to the previous year, a total of 87,309 unique candidates from the UT of Jammu and Kashmir were registered for the examination. To address the concerns and facilitate the students of Jammu and Kashmir, the NTA is taking proactive measures to explore the feasibility of creating temporary centers in Kashmir.
Dr Sadhana Parashar, the Senior Director (Exams), expressed the organization’s commitment to addressing the needs of the candidates and ensuring a smooth conduct of the CUET (UG) 2023 examination in Jammu & Kashmir.
