Curfew imposed in southern parts of Kashmir

Curfew was Monday imposed in Kulgam district and Shopian town after two civilians were killed yesterday. Four militants and two army men were also killed in the encounter, reports said.

They said that Curfew has been imposed in entire Kulgam district and Shopian town to maintain law and order in the wake of the killings yesterday.

However, reports quoting officials said that there is no restriction on the movement of people anywhere else in the Valley but forces have been deployed in sensitive areas to keep a tight vigil.
