Srinagar

Restrictions have been imposed in south Kashmir’s Islamabad town to prevent protests in the wake of recent killings of two militants in the area.

Eyewitnesses said that heavy deployments have also been made in Lal Chowk, Reshi Bazar, Cheeni Chowk and other adjoining areas of the town to maintain law and order.

They said people in these areas were not allowed to venture out of their homes.

Two militants were killed in Mehman Mohalla area of Islamabad two days back during a gunfight with government forces.
