In wake of the prevailing situation, authorities have imposed curfew-like restrictions in various parts of Srinagar were imposed in parts of Srinagar on Friday to avoid protests against the killing of militant commander Zakir Musa.

Musa was killed in a gunfight with government forces on Thursday night in Dadsara village of Tral in south Kashmir. Reports said that besides a huge deployment of police and paramilitary forces, barricades have been erected at various points in the city.

Meanwhile, all the educational institutes have been closed by the authorities today a “precautionary measure”.

On Thursday late evening, soon after the news about the killing of militant commander Zakir Moosa spread, widespread protests were witnessed in different parts of the valley in reaction to the killing.
