Making its cash-management system in Jammu better for complete customer convenience, J&K Bank Saturday inaugurated Currency Chest in Govindsar Kathua in Jammu amid a large gathering comprising of valuable clients, traders, senior citizens and local residents, a company statement said.

The bank’s Chairman and CEO Mushtaq Ahmad inaugurated the complex housing the currency chest in presence of President M Syed Wani, vice president & Zonal Head Jammu (Central) Arvind Gupta and other senior officers of the bank.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman said, “The currency chest ensures easy and need-based deposit or withdrawal of funds. It facilitates hassle free exchange of old and mutilated notes with new ones besides instant remittance facilities.”

“The idea is to serve people across the state and provide them world class banking services at their closest possible locations. This chest will certainly put an end to all such related inconveniences,” he added.

During his interaction with the audience, he further said, “J&K Bank remains committed to work for your financial prosperity and I am sure your patronage and cooperation shall always guide us in realizing our objectives.”

Chairman also sought suggestions from the people for better conduct of services by the bank.

“Those present on the occasion hailed the bank’s efforts to provide international banking services to people at their door-step. They praised dedication of bank’s staff while expressing hope that the customer comfort will receive further boost in times to come,” the statement said.
