SRINAGAR: The Cyber Cell Pulwama has credited back 76,528 to a victim’s account, police said here on Wednesday.
“Initially, the complaint involved a total defrauded amount of 88,252,” the police said, adding that the Cyber Cell Pulwama froze the fraudulent transactions and completed necessary legal formalities to recover and return a substantial portion of the lost funds to the victim’s account.
The Cyber Cell Pulwama advises victims of financial fraud to promptly complete legal procedures for fund retrieval.
The public is urged to adhere to general cyber safety tips to avoid falling prey to cyber fraud.
