Cyber Cell Saves Rs 1.26 Lakh in Online Fraud Case

   

SRINAGAR: The Cyber Unit of Jammu and Kashmir Police in Sopore have solved online financial fraud and saved Rs 1,26,400 of two victims.

As per a statement, Cyber Cell Sopore received complaints from Muzaffar Ahmad Sheikh son of Abdul Rashid Sheikh resident of Tujjer Shareef Sopore and Manzoor Ahmad Lara son of Ghulam Nabi Lara resident of Model Town Sopore about online money scams.

“Accordingly, on the directions of SP Sopore, a Special Police Team of Cyber Cell Sopore dealing with cyber-crimes comprehensively, so far recovered Rs 1,26,400/- and refunded the same to the victims account.”

Cyber Cell of J&K Police deals with various financial frauds such as KYC update fraud, OLX fraud, other banking/ investment-related fraud, fake loan app fraud, social media blackmailing, etc.

Meanwhile, J&K Police requested general public not to share the bank details, account details, OTP etc. & be alert and keep vigilant in sharing any kind of personal details to anyone.
