Cyber Crew, Delhi Public School Srinagar on Monday organised the felicitation ceremony for participants of technological fest – Tech Know, in the school premises.

Social Welfare Minister Sajad Gani Lone, Director Information Muneer-ul-Islam and Commissioner Secretary Education Farooq Shah were present on the occasion.

Chairman DP Dhar Memorial trust –Vijay Dhar, Principal DPS Srinagar – Balasubramanian Murali, Vice Principal – Shafaq Ahsan and all incharge academics were also present on the occassion.

The dignitaries felicitated the participants and distributed certificates of participation among the students. Certificates were also distributed among the representatives of sponsors ie HK Cements, Khyber Milk, Big 92.7 FM, Rising Kashmir, Digiway and Paper Square.

Pertinently, Tech Know is an annual cyber festival organized by the students’ IT club of DPS Srinagar at their own level without any assistance from the school. More than 30 schools of the valley are participating in the fest where student mentors provide hands on training in various aspects of Information technology like Robotics and Website Development.

Those present on the occasion expressed delight at the “yeoman services” rendered by school towards developing IT skills of youth in the valley, as well as developing a culture of mentorship that allows students to evolve as autonomous mentors.

The chairman Vijay Dhar on the occasion laid out the future course of action for the event as reaching out to government schools, and underprivileged schools to enhance capacity development. Cyber Crew members presented the vote of thanks after a brief presentation on the evolution and aims of Cyber Crew.
