President Doctors Association Kashmir, Dr GM Mir has expressed serious concern over the suspension of BMO Sogam.
In a statement issued here, the spokesperson of DAK, Dr Mir Mushtaq, condemned the “illogical” suspension by DC Kupwara and said Health Department has always been at the forefront while serving the community even against all the odds.
“It is pertinent to mention that the medical staff against all odds have been delivering duties even when attendances of various important departments including the concerned District Administrative Office was thin during the recent unrest. Moreover the same DC had suspended 21 doctors in Shopian in a hush without getting into the Roster Duty Format and other official proceedings. Such acts clearly depict a bias against the brave heart medical staff who have been serving the people with utmost dedication,” the statement read.
“Sub District Hospital Sogam under a dedicated administrator is one of the best in terms of Health Indicators and such demoralizing attitude by the district administration will discourage the staff to work with zeal and zest thereby effecting the patient care in particular.”
DAK appeals the Health Authorities to intervene and resolve this matter as early as possible.
