Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) on Friday held a condolence meeting at its Head Office to mourn the sad demise of Dr (Prof.) Girja Dhar former Principal Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar who breathed her last today morning at her Boulevard residence after a brief illness.
President DAK Dr Suhail Naik in the meeting expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
“A Medical luminary Dr Dhar established the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the present Lal Ded Hospital and promoted teaching and raised the level of medical education during her tenure as Principal, GMC” Dr Naik said.
Paying rich tributes to the legend, Dr Naik said the demise has left a great void in the field of medicine which can’t be filled.
