Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) President Dr Suhail Naik along with Dr Owais H Dar, Dr Mohd Ashraf Shah, Dr Mirzada Bilal and Dr Imtiyaz on Thursday met with Finance Minister Dr Haseeb A Drabu at Civil Secretariat, Jammu.

The spokesman said DAK delegation apprised him about pay anomaly and various discrepancies pertaining to salary issues of Medical officers, Dental Surgeons and Consultants.

The delegation briefed him about the continuous risks and hazards the doctors are exposed and demanded enhancement of special duty allowance/risk allowance.

The delegation also informed him about the career stagnation. The Minister gave a patient hearing and assured the delegation that their genuine demands will be addressed on priority.

“Doctors are professionals and it is our moral responsibility to raise their morale in the society”, the Minister said.

DAK hopes that their genuine demands will be addressed on priority and in a time bound manner.
