SRINAGAR
Scores of residents from Danamar Zonimar locality of Srinagar City Wednesday protest against the Power Development Department.
Eyewitnesses said that the protestors blocked Ali Jan Road for hours as a result commuters faced great inconvenience. The protestors said that the area is reeling under darkness from past month and despite repeated appeals to PDD officials, the department did not bother to repair their damaged transformer.
The protestors dispersed peacefully after the police assured them they will take up the matter with the concerned authorities.
