One civilian was injured during an encounter between the government forces and militants in Darmdora village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday evening.
Reports said that civilian identified as Jahangir Ahmed received a bullet injury during an encounter. However, Jahangir was referred to Pulwama hospital for the treatment.
Earlier, a joint team of 44 battalions of Rashtriya Rifles and SOG of police cordoned off the Darmdora village in Shopian following the specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
