The Sri Pratap College has extended the last date for registration to the Value Addition Courses, introduced in the college last year, till May 30.

In order to make optimal use of the government infrastructure, the college is finalizing admissions to courses in Personality Development, Diagnostic Lab Technology and Spoken Arabic after the first batch successfully passed out, an official spokesperson said this evening.

The college administration said these courses have got a positive response since the methodology relied more on learning by doing, learning by active participation and learning by sharing approach.

“The courses at S P College have been unique by maintaining practices of organizing and conducting field visits, group exercises, mock job interviews, meet the expert sessions, documentary film making, group presentations, T V Shows, radio recordings etc,” officials said.

“In response to certain requests the last date for registration to all the courses has been extended up to May 30, 2016,” they said.

The college has already started the Competitive Exams Study Centre in order to inculcate the spirit of competitiveness among the students and youth of the Valley.

The Competitive Exams Study Centre provides a platform for local civil services aspirants to connect with fellow aspirants and prepare for civil services examinations through a unique group learning approach.

In the first phase, the Union Government offers support and guidance for general studies and interview component of the civil services examination to the registered aspirants.
