At least 9 people were injured during protests when people tried to march towards Imam Sahib area in Shopian district of south Kashmir on Tuesday.
Reports reaching here said that people from Arkhara, Hillow and Kadgam areas tried to march towards Imam Sahib village when they were stopped by forces. “All of them have pellet injuries. But thank God nobody is serious,” said a local over phone from Shopian.
However sources said that nobody was bought to district hospital Shopian or PHC Imam Sahib for treatment so far. “Fearing arrests people prefer local dispensaries to treat minor injuries,” said a local.
Protests were going on in the area when last reports reached here.
