J&K Police on late Monday night said that a petrol bomb was lobbed at moving tipper in North Kashmir’s Baramulla.

“Today (Monday) evening some miscreants in order to impose shutdown call lobbed a petrol bomb on a moving tipper bearing registration number JK05-5899 near Khanpora, Baramulla,” a police statement said.

“Tipper driver Irshad Ahmad Mir, son of Ashraf Mir, resident of Uran Buwa, Boniyar got injured in this incident,” the statement said.

“He was shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for treatment. An FIR was registered under sections of attempt to murder and man hunt has been launched to nab the assailants,” it added.
