Five persons were wounded when forces fired pellets upon protesters in Imam Sahib area in south Kashmir’s Shopian on Sunday afternoon, local witnessed said.

The five persons have been admitted to Shopian district hospital and are under going treatment this time. The five persons have been identified as Nasir Ahmad, Aquib Hussain, Kifayat Hussain, Rayees Ahmad and Omais Ahmad.

“They have multiple pellet injuries,” a doctor at the hospital said.

As restrictions continued for the 23rd day in this town, people from various are marching towards Imam Sahib where at least three persons were injured last evening by bullets. “Forces have stopped a huge mass of people at one point on way to Imam Sahib which has resulted in intense clashes,” sources said.
