Deputy Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council, Jahangir Hussain Mir, called on the Lok Sabha Speaker, Smt Sumitra Mahajan in New Delhi on Friday and discussed with her the latest situation of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Deputy Chairman requested the Lok Sabha Speaker to explore possibility for organizing special orientation programmes for the legislators of various States in the Parliament enabling them to acquaint with the parliament procedures so that they can highlight the issues of their respective areas in a better way, an official spokesperson said this evening.
He also requested for devising a special provision in parliament laws envisaging study visits by legislators to different States in the country.
He also discussed several other issues related to the functioning and conduct of business in the House.
