At least persons were injured in clashes between forces and unarmed protestors in South Kashmir on Monday.

Correspondent reports told Kashmir Life that people were holding peaceful demonstrations in Semthan area of Bijbehara in Islamabad district this morning.

“A CRPF party has come to the area where it used forces against the protestors,” reports said, “pellets were fired on the protestors.”

Reports said that the people had also held protests on Sunday evening.

The local sources said that at least eight persons were injured, of which, three are females.

“Six persons are admitted in sub-district hospital Bijbehara,” BMO Dr Amin said, “one was hit by pellets and he has been shifted to Srinagar hospital.”
