Senior lawmaker and Rajya Sabha MP from Bihar representing JD (U), Sharad Yadav, on Wednesday asked Government of India why pellets were used against Kashmiris – “our own people”.
Participating in the debate over civil uprising in Kashmir, Sharad Yadav said that Kashmiris don’t love India “as we love them”.
The Kashmir uprising debate was taken up in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday, a day after Union government came under increased pressure from the Opposition.
Sharad Yadav said the times have changed and there can be no war with Pakistan.
“Now, Kashmir will have to be won with love,” he said.
“Police and armed forces are sometimes are required, but there should be restraint in the use of force,” he added.
