Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz, senior Congress leader and former Union Minister, met Governor N N Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here on Wednesday to discuss the prevailing civil uprising and the difficulties being faced by people.
The Governor stressed the crucial importance of peace being restored in the State and urged Prof Soz to sustain his initiatives in this regard, an official spokesperson said this evening.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson added that Mohammad Shafi Pandit, former Chairperson, J&K Public Service Commission (PSC), called on Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Pandit informed the Governor about various problems relating to the obtaining disturbed situation in the State.
The Governor urged Pandit, a senior civil society leader, to continue his endeavours for the restoration of peace and normalcy in the State.
