#Day42: Girl Ends Her Life In Sopore; Three Persons Injured Road Mishaps



In the crying situation prevailing in Kashmir, a girl committed suicide by hanging herself to death at her home in North Kashmir’s Sopore town.

JK Police spokesperson said that a 25-year old girl (name withheld) resident of Naribal Panzalla, Sopore hanged herself with a rope at her home, resulting in her on spot death.

After completion of medico-legal formalities, the spokesperson said, the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites.

Meanwhile, police spokesperson added that three persons were injured in two separate road accidents in Islamabad and Kargil.

A minor namely Sameer Ahmad Mir, son of Bashir Ahmad Mir, resident of Batkote Islamabad in South Kashmir was hit by a Sumo bearing registration number JK08A-5646 at Batkote road.

The injured boy was rushed to District Hospital Islamabad.

The police spokesperson said that driver has been identified as Mohammad Ashraf Mir resident of Verseran.

In Kargil, a Tanker bearing registration number JK02AW-1561 driven by Bhushan Kumar resident of Palnoo, Udhampur and a Scorpio vehicle bearing registration number JK07-1299 driven by Mohammad Issa resident of Chanigund, Kargil collided at Kargil-Srinagar National Highway near Ralgilmat Mode in the jurisdiction of Police Post Shilikchey, resulting in injuries to two passengers boarding the said Scorpio vehicle.

Both the injured were shifted to District Hospital Kargil for treatment the police said.
