At least three persons were injured when forces fired pellets to disperse protestors in North Kashmir’s Trehgam on Friday.

Police sources said that three persons were injured and later shifted to Kupwara hospital.

Meanwhile, massive protest demonstrations were held after post Friday prayers in Jamia Masjid Sopore and other adjoining areas of town where shouting pro-freedom slogans, people were marched towards main chowk Sopore.

However, forces stationed in the Chowk, used force and fired teargas smoke shells towards the peaceful protesters.

Two women among and several protestors were injured during the clashes which erupted thereafter.

The injured were shifted to local hospital.

Meanwhile, forces used tear smoke shells and pellets to disperse a massive rally raising pro-freedom and anti-India slogans in Bandipora after Friday prayers.

As soon as the rally reached near Nowpora Chowk, police and CRPF fired tear gas shells on it.

Meanwhile government did not allow major Masjids in Srinagar, Islamabad, Kulgam, Pulwama, Shopian, Baramulla and other district headquarters on Friday.
