Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is planning to take the Kashmir issue to the International level.

Sharif on Saturday appointed 22 of his Parliamentarians as envoys to raise the “issue of human rights violations at the hands of the Indian government in Kashmir”.

Sharif wants to highlight the plight of Kashmiris before the International community.

“I am standing behind these special envoys to ensure their toil for highlighting the Kashmir cause resonates across the world so that I can shake the collective conscience of the international community during my address at the UN this September,” Nawaz Sharif reportedly said in Islamabad.

He added by saying that Pakistan will remind the UN of its long-standing promise of self-determination to the Kashmiri people.
