Anjuman Shar-i-Shian Saturday alleged that police have been harassing its activists and they are being forced to report in police stations.

While condemning the police actions, the organization said that such tactics “will not break the resolve of freedom loving people”.

“Whole Valley is protesting against atrocities and innocent people are being killed. It is the right of the people to protest and hit to roads,” the organization said.

The spokesperson of the organization alleged that it has become a routine for the police to threat and intimidate “freedom loving people” particularly the activists of Anjuman Shari Shian.

“On August 26, several respectable people and our activists were called to police station and were threatened of dire consequences in case they continue to take part in pro-freedom protests,” the spokesperson alleged and condemned the police action.

The spokesperson said that such tactics will prove counterproductive for the government and the police. Anjuman Shar-i-Shian also condemned the continuous detention of senior resistance leaders.
