Two persons were injured in a road accident in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Thursday morning.

Local sources from Barsoo area of the district said that a motor bi-cycle was hit by a truck which was coming from Kangan side towards Sumbal via Srinagar- Leh By-Pass.

Two persons who were riding the bike, JK05 – 7014, were injured.

The sources said that police men were present on the spot given the volatile situation in the area following mass civilian protests against civilian killings.

The two injured persons were shifted to Ganderbal district hospital. “One amongst them has been shifted to JVC Hospital Srinagar for advanced treatment,” a police official said.

A cop from Kheer Bhawani Police Station said that the injured persons belong to Bandipora district, however, he could not give complete details.
